Diana Simpson Hernandez is a Mexican-born UK based product designer. She graduated from Central Saint Martins and later with a Masters from the Royal College of Art in Design Products.
After her graduation from the RCA, Diana was invited as the Designer in Residence at London design gallery 19 Greek Street where she launched a material development lab focused on creating high-end applications from urban waste.
Diana worked as the Head of Industrial Design & Product Strategy for social enterprise Shake Your Power, CIC and is the founder of Designers for Humanity, a platform that showcases the role of design thinking in creating social value and individual empowerment. She is currently a lecturer for Product Design and Furniture at Nottingham Trent University and UX consultant for health startups.
Diana is a fellow at the Royal Society for the Encouragement of the Arts, Manufactures and Commerce and was awarded the London Design Award for Best Product Design for Personal Use in 2014 and for Best Educational Product in 2015. Her work experience spans from user research, user experience, product, service and material design.
